More Than Makeup: The Heart Behind Allison Doreen

I’m Baaaaaaccckkkk!!!!

Well… technically, I never really left. I just had a bit of a dormant online presence. Many of you know me as “Allison Doreen the Model” or “Allison Doreen the Makeup Artist,” but I’m so much more than that.

As the youngest of six (one brother and five sisters), I was surrounded by strong influences growing up. Beauty was the one that truly stuck with me — it shaped so much of who I am. Once I caught the “beauty bug,” I knew it would always be part of my life.

I still remember when my mom took me for my first “big girl” makeup purchase at the MAC counter when I turned 16. It was a tradition she had with all her daughters — that was the age we were officially allowed to wear makeup. Of course, I was the exception and got to play around with makeup a little early. That extra practice gave me a head start, and once I got my hands on the real deal, I knew in my heart: one day, I’d have my own cosmetic line.

But it’s never just been about the products for me. I’ve always loved the feeling of helping others feel beautiful — seeing someone light up with confidence after a makeover or a kind word about their glow. That feeling is priceless.

This journey has been a full-circle moment. It hasn’t been easy — there have definitely been challenges — but I kept letting God (that’s my man, for real!) and my passion lead the way. And now… here we are.
